NASA’s puzzle hidden in parachute
Actually, this puzzle is hidden in NASA’s parachute, which was used to land the rover. This idea was given to the puzzle lovers of the spacecraft team. Ian Clarke, a system engineer on the team, wrote the message of “Dare Mighty Things” through binary code. It means to have the courage to do great things. Binary code refers to a language that consists of numbers 1 and 0. Message can also be given by a combination of 1 and 0. Although this will not be understood by the common people, but the computer and math masters understand it.
Ian was making puzzles for 2 years
Ian reached the team with this idea two years ago. The main 6 members of the team liked this. After that it was decided what the message would be written on a 70 foot spread parachute. Then Ian said ‘Dare Mighty Things’. The question was what to do its coding. Then Ian converted the orange and white stripes over the parachute into binary code. Ian’s information about sending such messages was limited to only 6 people in the team.
Ian said that when I shared this idea with people, everyone was excited. The ‘Dare Mighty Things’ line was spoken by former President Theodore Roosevelt. This line is also the mantra of NASA’s rocket-making Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
Ian said that we did binary coding on a parachute made of nylon. We first designed his computer. Then the parachute was made in the same way. But within a few hours of launching, the fans of this mission revealed the secret of this binary code. Next time I will try to be a bit more creative, so that the code is not broken so quickly.
What will Mars Rover discover?
This mission is being described as the most advanced mission of NASA’s Mars Exploration Program.
